The event explains the elements involved in compiling a portfolio (organisational list) of projects to be run and then managing it.

Many say that choosing the next project to run is just a matter of identifying the one offering the greatest business benefits.  We show you why this is both untrue and incredibly simplistic.  For example, it takes no account of corporate strategy, but there’s much more and we explain exactly what.

This one-day event progresses through the management process. It starts with what is involved in establishing criteria where you will allowed projects onto the portfolio. It covers decisions on relative project priorities and deciding which project(s) to run next.  Then it covers maintenance of the portfolio, accepting new projects, deleting those that are not longer justified and res-evaluating the relative priorities of the revised list.

Along the way are other issues such as stakeholder management and planning.
